Well, I made "Pilgrim Pies" today! I went so far as to make them in pie plates and top them with "topping!" Bunch of thumbs WAAAAY Up!! (I did make some in the cookie sandwich tradition, but got tired of plopping dough out and just decided to go this direction....ok, ok, call me lazy but it satisfied a craving for pumpkin pie!!)
Thanks to Kristen for her awesome recipe! YUM-O!

They are so good!! That is a great idea to bake them in a pie plate, I have never thought of that. Just so you know, I always have trouble leaving comments on your blog. I read it all the time and TRY to comment, but something always happens. I sent you an email, the email address on your profile, because it is driving me crazy and I don't want you to think I am just NOT leaving comments for you.
WOW!! It worked. I don't know what I did different. I have dial-up, and I always thought that was why I couldn't get it to work. My little internet has to work pretty hard to get your blog to load, and most times the comment pop-up won't even load!! Anyway, I want to say that your kids are SO precious. I totally think we should get them together to play (and for us to catch up!!). Thanks for continuing to comment on my blog even though I wasn't commenting on yours- you are a better person than I!!!I am trying to get lots of commments in now, in case this is a one time thing. I like the green background alot. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!!
what in the world are pilgrims' pies? what is the whitish layer on top? i am soooo intrigued.
check out Kristen Ballard's blog on my blog list. The recipe's on there!
